Phrasebird provides conversational language practice with an AI tutor. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Your practice

AI feedback can be incorrect. Phrasebird does not certify fluency or provide professional translation. Choose an appropriate topic, allow microphone access when you want to speak, and end your session when finished. A live connection continues to use speaking time while muted.

Free trial and subscriptions

When offered, an account receives the one-time free speaking allowance shown when its speaking account is first initialized. The offer may change for new accounts; already granted allowances are preserved. Your account shows your remaining time. Phrasebird Plus costs $19 USD per month and includes 120 minutes of speaking time per billing period. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Conversations run in sessions of up to five minutes; subscribers can start another while they have time remaining. Connection initialization uses at least 15 seconds of the allowance. Time covers the connected session, including pauses and muted audio. Use End conversation to stop the timer. If a browser disappears without sending its close signal, the connection is ended after a short timeout and unused reserved time is returned.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Unused minutes do not roll over. You can cancel through Manage subscription; access continues through the current paid period unless the payment is refunded or reversed. Dodo Payments handles checkout, invoices and subscription billing. Contact us for billing or refund assistance. These terms do not limit rights available under applicable consumer law.

Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your account secure. Do not bypass trial or subscription limits, automate excessive requests, disrupt the service, or use it for unlawful or abusive activity. We may limit access to protect users and the service.

Availability

Voice quality and connectivity depend on your device, network and our providers. We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. If a session fails, end it and try again; contact support if your speaking balance appears incorrect.

Leaving Phrasebird

You can stop using the service at any time. Cancel any active subscription before requesting account deletion through the contact page. Questions about your account, billing or these terms can be sent through Contact us.
